The playground is located in the very heart of Sochi, in a small square on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The square used to be a place for local residents to stroll. A modern skate park equipped in the square became a focal point for all extreme sports enthusiasts. The unusual science-themed playgrounds created by "Cheharda" in the square increased its appeal for other audiences as well, primarily for preschoolers and younger schoolchildren. The core concept of the playground is exploring the invisible, unknown life that hides both in the microworld of our planet and in the macroworld of the vast Universe. We decided to conduct our research across three spheres of life: earth, water, and sky (space).
Earth is everything on the planet’s surface. It is close to us and largely familiar. But we sparked children’s curiosity to look deeper and explore the life of plant roots. This is how the "Dancing Roots" playground came to be. Water is children’s favorite element. Everything related to it invariably captures their attention. We gave children the opportunity to connect with the depths of water and its inhabitants.
As for the sky, the undisputed favorite is space—distant and mysterious. It is to space, as well as to the physics that governs the movement of all celestial bodies, that we dedicated our third playground.
